What this site is

Columbus Fence Installers is published by NexTier Digital LLC, an Ohio company, to connect homeowners in Columbus and the central Ohio area with a fence contractor working the region. The operator of this site is not a fence contractor and does not build, install or repair fences. Reading the site or sending an inquiry through it means you accept the terms below.

General information, not a quote

The pages here describe, in general terms, how residential fences are laid out, built and repaired, and how central Ohio conditions act on them: clay soil that holds water around a post, freezing and thawing that lifts anything set too shallow, sloping yards, and summer storms that load a solid fence like a sail.

None of that is a quote, a design, an engineering opinion or legal advice. Height limits, zoning review, association approval and where your property line actually runs are all set locally, and they have to be confirmed for your specific address before anything is ordered or dug. Scope, schedule and cost are set by the contractor after a site visit, not by anything written here.

The site itself

The text, page layout and photographs on this site belong to its operator and are here for you to read, not to republish elsewhere. Pages get rewritten, sections get added or dropped, and the site may be unavailable for a stretch without notice.

Corrections

Fence practice and local rules both change, and a page can fall behind. If you spot something here that is wrong or out of date, write to the address below and it will be looked at.

Some pages point you to material kept by someone else — a city or township zoning office, or Ohio's 811 utility locate service. Those pages are written and maintained by those organizations, and what they say there is theirs, not ours.
